Conference will be held at Condes de Urgel Hotel, Av. Barcelona, n 21, 25001 LLEIDA, SPAIN.

Venue

The city of Lleida takes part of Catalonia region, in Spain. Lleida is located 160 km south-west from Barcelona and 450 km north-east from Madrid, and is well communicated with both by hogh-speed trains.

Travel Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the Symposium.

Official Language

The official language of the Symposium is English. Simultaneous translations services will not be provided.

Excursions AFTER Symposium. Friday June 12th, 2009

1.- The Romanesque art of BOI VALLEY

This is an interesting route that takes visitors to Lleida’s main Romanesque monuments, the most outstanding of which are to be found in the Vall de Boí (L'Alta Ribagorça - Spain), Eight churches of Boi Valley have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

08.30h – The coach and the tourist guide pick up the group at the Hotel Condes d’Urgell****

About 11.30h, arrival and guided visit of the Sant Climent de Taüll Church, and introduction to the Romanesque Style of Boi

12.30h: Guided visit of Santa Eulalia de Erill la Vall Church. Ath the end of this visit we will also see the Interpretation Centre of the Romanesque of Boi Valley.

13.30h – Lunch in a pintoresque restaurant in Erill la Vall, Restaurante Pirenaico L’Aüt, with a traditional mountain menu.

16.30h – The group leaves Boi Valley and return to Lleida. Arrival a 18.00h aproximately

 2.- BARCELONA

08.00h – The coach and the tourist guide pick up the group at the Hotel Condes d’Urgell****.

About 10.30h, arrival and guided visit of the Sagrada Familia, the most famous contruction of Antoni Gaudi and his Modern Art.

After visiting Sagrada Familia Temple, aproximately at 12.00h, panoramic guided Tour of Barcelona.

13.30h – Lunch in Moncho’s Marina Restaurant, with a similar menu to:
